Construction Marketing Ideas for Southwest Florida Builders

Is Your Construction Firm Made for Mobile?

Southwest Florida Builders need to plan to meet their audience in the moment – they need to adjust to the new phrase “Mobile First“. Every consumer is now mobile and connected, meaning that your construction firm needs to be able to go where your users go. Wendy Clark, President, Sparkling Brands & Strategic Marketing for Coca-Cola North America, couldn’t have said it better – “Mobile is at the core of everything we’re doing. If we can’t make a story work on a 4-inch-by-2-inch screen, then it doesn’t work, and it doesn’t go further.”

According to Google, your construction firm needs to adopt three basic principles when it comes to mobile:

  1. Portable: Your idea must be able to go where the user goes. If your business can’t, you are not mobile.
  2. Personal: Does your business cater to the individual needs and desires of every user? Is the experience unique to the user?
  3. Perpetual: Never-ending and never changing. Mobile is always on.

What does this all mean for Southwest Florida builders? Mobile has changed thttps://atilus.com/services/seo/he way consumers behave – consumers are connected online and are actively using their devices to find, evaluate, and make a decision based on the information that is presented to them. How does your construction firm get in front of those searches, and how do you provide the information they are seeking?

How connected are consumers? There’s no denying that smartphones are a part of everyday life. Thanks to Google for providing these statistics: “Over two-thirds of smartphone users (68%) say they check their phone within 15 minutes of waking up in the morning. 87% always have their smartphones at their side, day and night. And, in many countries, more searches take place on mobile devices than on computers.” The power is now in the hands of the connected consumer. The connected consumer can now navigate through information, advertisements, content, products, and services on their own terms.

How Southwest Florida Builders Can Capture Connected Consumers

Do you give your users a complete mobile experience? Consumers are making decisions faster than ever before, and it’s because of these so-called “Micro-Moments”. Consumers are looking for relevant information regarding your brand, and at the exact moment they are searching for it. The more relevant you can be about your brand and product/service, the higher the chance you have of capturing that consumer, turning them into a potential lead.

If your construction firm is not offering users a complete mobile experience – super fast load times, innovative mobile design, useful functionality, and informational content, your construction firm will plummet to the bottom of the ocean. [Really] – If you’re not offering your users a unique mobile experience, those users will switch to another builder’s site. When a user lands on your website, what does your brand convey? Does it tell your story immediately?

Speed is key: As I mentioned earlier, consumers want information at the exact moment they are looking for it. Website load time is one of the #1 factors in page abandonment – “40% of shoppers will wait no more than three seconds before abandoning a retail or travel site.” This just goes to show you that speed trumps design. You can have the most innovative design on your builder’s website, but if you don’t have speed, you’ve now lost out on potential business.
