Crossroads Treatment Center in Naples | Announcing Itself with a New Website

Author: Valerie Baker

Working with non-profit organizations has always been a priority for Atilus. The owners, Zach and Harry, have served on numerous boards for non-profits for years and shown their further support in providing reduced and even free services for a large number of non-profit organizations. Atilus has always believed in partnering with and helping organizations wherever possible, so when Zach was introduced to the David Lawrence Center through a strategic partner, there was little question of whether Atilus would take the cause.

The David Lawrence Center Crossroads Treatment program has been empowering individuals to heal from addiction since 1986 when it originally opened as a residential substance abuse treatment center in Immokalee. Today, Crossroads includes newly renovated, state-of-the-art facilities now located in Naples on the Center’s beautiful 8-acre campus and includes refreshing gardens, outdoor lanais, a fitness court and a screened pool area. In addition to new facilities, the program has evolved to a full continuum of comprehensive substance abuse services with integrated holistic and complementary services using the most innovative treatment methods available. While the program has flourished to serve more than 723 clients in 2014, Crossroads had limited online ability to showcase these new services to clients and provide resources for their families while being hosted on a single page within the David Lawrence Center website.

Branding Crossroads Treatment Center as its own Entity through its own Website

While the program has flourished to serve more than 723 clients in 2014, Crossroads had limited online ability to showcase these new services to clients and provide resources for their families while being hosted on a single page within the David Lawrence Center website. In fact, Crossroads was limited to a small section of the larger David Lawrence Center website. Program branding and online marketing was not utilized, thus creating a problem in growing the program and being able to help all of those who really need it. Their goal was to provide access to the necessary information about the different programs available and make it easy to get help for those in difficult stages of life. Based on multiple conversations with their development team, target research and our own experience in non-profit website development, we provided the following solutions:

  • Custom, Responsive Website Design
  • Content Management System (Orchard)
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Email Marketing System Integration
  • Lightweight and User-Friendly Photo Galleries
  • Dynamic Blog Connectivity with Content Writers
  • Automatic Twitter Feed for Specific Hashtags
  • Site Organization Plan for Handling Lots of Information

Multiple Website Designs for a Large Customer Base

Today, the site features information about available treatment options from inpatient detoxification, residential programs, intensive outpatient treatment as well as complementary programs such as medication-assisted treatment, pet therapy, yoga, art therapy, equine-facilitated psychotherapy and comprehensive wellness programs. The website has to be safe and attractive for those who are in life turmoil and struggling through addictions to feel comfortable asking for help through the site, but also clear enough for doctors or loved ones to find the detail they need for those whom they care about.

By using a multitude of content, imagery and videos, visitors can find and research what they need in a very clean and easy-to-find organizational layout. By connecting headshots of each user with a dynamic link to their author’s login, researchers will know exactly who is providing the article information and being able to see who those authors are for a personal and professional touch.

“Working with the Atilus team on our new CrossroadsNaples.org website was a great experience. Atilus has it all: unique, creative design, cutting edge technology, an impressive SEO focus and the talent to make it all come together beautifully.”

Trista Meister, David Lawrence Center

A Completed Website is Just the Beginning

With the website live and already pulling in traffic, the next step is marketing and gaining visibility for Crossroads. Atilus is focused on getting the website out there for everyone to see. Atilus is continuing to work together Crossroads through on-going AdWords campaigns, blogging and other internet marketing ideas along with regular site maintenance to ensure long-term SEO growth.

This is all part of Atilus striving for a holistic view of every project. We see things down the long-term road to make sure all efforts from all people on all teams are efficient and successful. Making sure the website always loads fast and is continually error-free is of vital importance to long-term search engine success. We are excited to continue on the journey with Crossroads and honored to begin working with them on the larger David Lawrence Center website soon.
