Four Holiday Branding Tips

Holiday Branding Tips

It’s crazy to think that Christmas is only two days away. Where does all the time go?

During the holidays, it’s a perfect time for businesses of all sizes to get creative with their branding efforts (this is something we do internally every year, too). Some may think holiday branding is unnecessary, while others may disagree. Personally, I think holiday branding sets you apart and shows others that you have a sense of holiday cheer. Consider it a brand “makeover” that washes away in a few short days!

In light of the holidays, I decided to leave you with four holiday branding tips that will help you captivate your followers and draw attention to your brand.

Tip 1: Be Consistent With Branding On All Platforms

If you are going to give your brand a quick “makeover” this holiday season, we recommend being consistent with your branding on all channels. Own a color or a specific look and feel, and ensure that it’s consistently portrayed across all platforms you use.

Tip 2: Use Festive Colors

Depending on the holiday, use festive colors in your branding, colors that resemble that specific holiday – be true to the season. However, it’s important that you stay true to your existing brand so that your customers are still able to recognize you. As you can see in the image below, we’ve stayed true to our existing logo design and only added two festive colors.

Tip 3: Be Timely

If you are going to update your branding for the holidays, be timely. Make sure that you’ve created everything well in advance and that everything is either scheduled out or already implemented. We use a great software called Buffer, a tool that allows you to schedule out your holiday content on all of your social accounts. If you are sending out an email newsletter, make sure you are sending it out before everyone leaves for the holiday break.

Tip 4: Keep It Simple

Quality over quantity. Get your message across in a few short words and don’t bombard your customers with a lot of content.
