Golf Membership Consultants [GMC] really didn’t have much to go on. They were finalizing their business plan, unsure about what to do with marketing and still looking to finalize their investment team. What they knew is, based on their knowledge of their target, they needed to be the “Cadillac” of websites. With both of the founders PGA of America members, they were fully aware of their limits in the technological and design side of their business. Through the relationships Atilus built with them by focusing on time and face-to-face meetings, trust grew and GMC gave Atilus freedom to do what we do best. With no prior website, marketing plan or business, this lump of clay held no shape with which to work from. Therefore, it all started with the target. Who were the people shopping for different golf club memberships? Where were they? What interests to they hold? As we did our research and interviewing, we quickly learned that this website had to be a perfect mix of real estate development marketing and business consulting. Almost more in the vein of Accenture (www.accenture.com) than anything else, this helps them maximize the real consulting work they do in helping people make high-dollar decisions. Yet, we could not leave golf in the background either, as it was the cornerstone of the whole business. The logo design had to come first so it could set up the tone of the rest of the site. Professional, elegant and clear in its portrayal, the finalized logo sped up the development of the project literally by teeing it up for us.

With the logo completed, design flew by without hiccups and the site was developed in short order. Orchard was installed as the back-end content management system [CMS] and special functionalities were added in for event marketing and RSVPs as well as a members’ only section, allowing GMC to sell subscription packages with unique content based on monthly payments. This part of the project is the most intense (currently under construction), taking custom programming and API integration with payment gateways.

Now that the website is up and live, Atilus is charged to intently follow the data provided through website analytics so we can evaluate (both in the short and long term) website performance and make adjustments and find solutions where necessary. This is vital in helping to ensure the growth of GMC during its early stages of growth.
