This past March, I had the opportunity to watch one of my oldest and closest friends get married as her Maid of Honor. Having been a bridesmaid before, I know all about choosing the perfect bridesmaid dress. While great for the wedding ceremony, I often see the turquoise dress in the back of my closet and I just know that someone could get more use out of it than I ever could.

An Event to Help the PACE Center for Girls: Love That Dress!

The PACE Center for Girls is an organization that provides at-risk young girls and women the opportunity of a better future through education, counseling, training, and advocacy. Since opening in 1984, the PACE Center for Girls has helped over 21,000 girls and young women find their voice.

Love That Dress! is an event that benefits the PACE Center for Girls. In the months leading up to the event, dress collection parties are hosted to obtain gently worn dresses, shoes, and other accessories. On the day of the event, these dresses and accessories are sold at nominal prices to event attendees; all proceeds from these purchases directly benefit the PACE Center for Girls.

Southwest Florida will hold two Love That Dress! events; one in Naples and one in Estero. In addition to the auction, a fashion show will be held to showcase all the wonderful dress donations from the local community.
