BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (Jan. 16, 2018) — Florida Gulf Coast University appointed Atilus Director of Operations Kristen Bachmeier to serve on the advisory board for the marketing degree at the Lutgert College of Business.
“We’re proud of the fact that Kristen joins a board of influential marketing experts from top companies across the region, including Chico’s, Gartner and Hertz,” says Zach Katkin, the president and CEO of Atilus, who also sits on the same advisory board.
Bachmeier’s appointment to the marketing degree advisory board strengthens Atilus’ ties with FGCU. Nine of the 11 people who work at Atilus are graduates of the Fort Myers university, including Bachmeier and Atilus co-founders Katkin and Harry Casimir.
“I earned a degree in marketing at FGCU so I’m thrilled to be able to give back to my alma mater by serving on this board,” says Bachmeier. “Companies such as Atilus provide great jobs for FGCU marketing graduates so they don’t have to leave the region to find excellent opportunities to launch their careers.”
A Southwest Florida native, Bachmeier has worked for Atilus since 2012. Prior to her promotion as director of operations last year, Bachmeier was client services manager, executing digital-marketing plans for Atilus clients. “A marketing degree from FGCU prepared me for the real world and boosted my successful career with Atilus,” she says.
Bonita Springs-based Atilus is well-known in Southwest Florida. The firm has created memorable digital-marketing campaigns for clients such as Babcock Ranch, the new solar-powered town under construction near Fort Myers.
As director of operations, Bachmeier oversees all the departments at Atilus, from development to budgeting and implementation of successful marketing strategies for clients. Bachmeier is certified as an expert in Google AdWords, which includes rigorous training in six specialty fields to help clients develop advertising strategies on the Google Search Network.
