Atilus, the Bonita Springs based web design and Internet marketing company is pleased to publicly announce their partnership with the PRSA Sunshine District. Here at Atilus, we recognize the importance in rallying the community around some of the best public relations professionals. The power of giving back is a central focus to our vision of improving society; there is strength in numbers.
The PRSA’s Sunshine District represents 1,000 public relations professionals from seven chapters throughout the state of Florida. The Sunshine District is one of ten PRSA Districts nationwide, providing educational resources, scholarships, and professional development opportunities for the industry’s leading professionals throughout Florida.
The Sunshine District had a demand, and Atilus supplied that demand, with the donation of a website www.prsasunshine.com. The new website was designed to promote their conference, bring value to their sponsors and provide a communication channel with their members. In return, PRSA Sunshine District gave Atilus the opportunity to become one of their sponsors for their annual 2014 conference. The PRSA Sunshine District hosted their annual conference in Naples, Florida from July 10-12, at the Hilton Hotel.
We had the pleasure of meeting several notable people, Brandon Andersen; Director of Marketing at Cision was one of those individuals that sparked attention. Brandon was a fellow sponsor and guest speaker at the PRSA Sunshine District conference. Having a delayed flight into SWFL, arriving late into the night, Brandon was still able to successfully set-up and rock the first 9:15am oration. Brandon Anderson spoke about, “Take the Reins of Content Marketing (How PR can own Content Marketing)-PR professionals have always had a story to tell, and with the rise of content marketing, they now have a place to tell that story-unfiltered and directly to their audience. Learn how traditional earned media is being combined with paid and owned media-places that traditional marketing roles have owned-creating an interconnected mixed media environment.” Although, we didn’t get the chance to hear Mr. Andersen present his speech, we certainly heard positive reviews from the attendees. Our Marketing Director, Phil Stalnaker, was pleased to have our set-up next to a fellow Nebraska native!
David Goldsmith, Author, Paid to Think, was one of the keynote speakers for the PRSA Sunshine District conference. Talk about an intelligent and fascinating individual. In a group conversation he provided great insight on the power of “ Alternative Ways of Thinking”, a great tool to exploit in the business environment and in your own personal life. Our team that attended the PRSA event is looking forward to reading his book!

We continue to encourage others in our community to participate in community involvement. We are main supporters of those organizations that give back to future community leaders. We can’t thank the PRSA Sunshine District enough, for giving us this opportunity to participate in their annual conference. We had a blast! We hope to continue to build and sustain our relationship with the PRSA Sunshine District.
